Today, I’m proud to share that Wordsmith has raised a $25 million Series A, led by Index Ventures. This marks a major step forward in our mission: turning lawyers into legal engineers.
I started Wordsmith because I was tired of how slow and repetitive legal work felt. I trained as a lawyer, then retrained as an engineer to fix it. Wordsmith is the company I always wished existed—one that helps legal scale its thinking across the business, not just serve it.
The Problem
To legal, the work makes sense. To everyone else? It often doesn’t.
