A strategic partnership to power efficiency
Wordsmith AI, the AI-powered platform for in-house legal teams, has announced a strategic partnership with Belron, a global leader in vehicle glass repair, replacement and recalibration services, to power a new, AI-enabled operating model for the company’s global legal function.

By deploying Wordsmith’s AI platform, Belron has equipped its in-house legal team to respond faster, reduce reliance on external counsel and elevate its role as a strategic partner to the business, in turn driving greater efficiency and reducing costs.

Belron saw productivity gains and cost avoidance within the first four weeks of implementation. Belron used Wordsmith across a range of tasks, including drafting, reviewing and summarising contracts and policy frameworks, achieving around a 70% reduction in attorney time on evaluated work.

The platform saw rapid and consistent adoption inside the legal team with 94% of users engaging with Wordsmith at least daily, and 91% reporting they would recommend Wordsmith to other members of the legal team.

Ross McNairn, CEO of Wordsmith said: "Legal teams everywhere face mounting pressure, more complexity, more scrutiny, and growing demands, yet headcount rarely keeps pace. Our partnership with Belron demonstrates what's possible when you equip an in-house team with the right tools: not just incremental efficiency gains, but a legal function that becomes a genuine driver of business growth. We're delighted to move beyond the initial phase and continue partnering with a global enterprise like Belron to help them achieve even more."

Proven use cases
Belron has adopted Wordsmith across its global business, with users in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the UK and the EU. The platform is being used not only for review and research, but also for broader, more strategic legal tasks. It enables attorneys to broaden and deepen their experience through AI research, analysis and benchmarking, as well as automating repetitive manual tasks to free capacity for high-value strategic work, improving overall team efficiency.

“As Belron continues to grow, our legal function must support the business with consistency, quality and pace. We are deliberately strengthening how legal work is delivered across the organisation, with a focus on continuous improvement, while maintaining the judgement that is fundamental to our role.

Wordsmith supports this approach by helping us standardise and streamline core legal activities. This has enabled the team to spend more time on matters that require experience, insight and close collaboration with the business. The early results give us confidence as we continue to build a more connected, capable and future-ready legal operating model.”
- Janet McCarthy, Belron Group General Counsel
