## Wordsmith Connectors: run legal work across the enterprise from one place

The context for legal work sits across the enterprise: the request in ServiceNow, the signed agreement in iManage, the account history in Salesforce. Wordsmith Connectors link those systems to your in-house legal platform, so your tasks, agents, repositories and playbooks work with the information the business already holds.

Agents bring together the agreement, the account history and the team's precedents, apply your negotiating positions and send the finished work straight back: the redline on the ServiceNow record, the workflow moving in Ironclad, the contract register up to date in SharePoint.

The business gets what it needs, on the legal team's terms and where it already works. Legal runs their work across the enterprise from one place, with more time for the advice only they can give.

### From a request to the next action

Consider a change to a critical supplier contract: an outsourcing agreement at a bank, or a subcontract on a major construction project. The request arrives through intake, the signed agreement sits in the document management system and the commercial history lives alongside the account.

A Wordsmith Agent reads the request and its attachments, retrieves the agreement and relevant correspondence, and reviews the proposed changes against the team's playbook. Routine points are prepared for sign-off. Anything that needs judgement, such as a change to liability, termination or audit rights, goes to the right lawyer with the context already assembled.

Once the lawyer has decided, the work continues in the same systems. With approval, the agent returns the redline to the ServiceNow record and starts the Ironclad workflow.

Throughout, the controls regulated businesses expect stay in place:

1. **Existing permissions apply:** where supported, people connect with their own accounts and see only what those systems already allow.
2. **Nothing changes without approval:** before an agent updates a record, uploads a document or sends anything for signature, it shows exactly what it will do and waits for approval.
3. **Every action is recorded:** agent activity is captured in Wordsmith's audit log and can be streamed to the security monitoring tools the business already uses.
4. **Access is set per agent:** an intake agent can have a different set of connectors and actions from an agent supporting contract review.

Legal can take on more of the business's work with confidence, knowing every action stays within the standards and controls it has set.

### Connect the tools behind the work

The Connector Library spans the systems used by legal, procurement, sales, HR and the wider business. Examples include:

1. **Review documents and return the work:** iManage Work, SharePoint, Box, Egnyte, Google Workspace, Datasite and Dropbox connect legal work with document stores and data rooms. File retrieval and write-back capabilities vary by connector.
2. **Progress contracts and signatures:** Ironclad, SAP Ariba, DocuSign CLM, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, Juro and PandaDoc support different parts of contract preparation, workflow and signing.
3. **Bring in business context:** Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Workday, Snowflake, HubSpot and Attio help teams use relevant customer, people, procurement and financial information.
4. **Handle requests:** ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshservice and Slack help teams work with legal requests, tickets, conversations and supporting information.
5. **Support specialist legal work:** Diligent Entities, Carta, LawVu, Moonlit and PERSUIT extend access to entity information, equity records, matters, legal research and estimates of the market value of legal work.

Each connector has its own capabilities and setup requirements. Some are read-only; others support document transfers, record updates or workflow actions. Connecting a system does not give an agent unrestricted access to everything it contains.

### Go beyond read-only access

Connectors do more than fetch information. Depending on the system, Wordsmith can:

1. **Bring documents in and send work back:** retrieve original Word and PDF files from systems such as iManage Work and SharePoint for review, redlining or translation, then save a redline back as a new version in Box, Egnyte and SAP Ariba.
2. **Work requests end to end:** read a legal request or ticket and its attachments, add notes, and reply to the requester with a document attached in ServiceNow, Zendesk and Freshservice.
3. **Move contracts forward:** start an Ironclad workflow from a template using a draft from the chat, and prepare a document for signature and track who has signed in DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign, including witnessed UK deed execution in DocuSign.
4. **Answer questions across records:** query customer, people and financial data in plain English across Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Workday and Snowflake, and update records where permitted.
5. **Keep systems up to date:** update contract metadata and registers in SharePoint, such as marking a contract as signed or setting a matter number, and keep lists in sync as work progresses.

Agents can run recurring work on a schedule, repeating these steps whenever the business needs them, within their configured access and approval requirements.

For internal systems and specialist applications, teams can add custom connectors, so Wordsmith can work with tools that have no standard integration.

Customers can explore the Connector Library in Wordsmith, review each connector’s capabilities and configure access through company policies.
