Today, we're announcing that Hana Abaza has joined Wordsmith as Chief Marketing Officer.

Hana will lead Wordsmith’s global marketing organization and go-to-market strategy as the company expands its US presence and helps more in-house legal teams work at the speed of the business. Based in New York City, she will play a key role in Wordsmith’s next phase of growth across North America and internationally.

More than 600 in-house legal teams use Wordsmith to handle contract review, legal research, intake and agentic legal workflows within the tools where their businesses already work. Wordsmith helps legal teams resolve more matters in-house, reduce dependency on outside counsel, and give the wider business safe, governed access to legal support.

### **Experience**

Hana brings more than 15 years of marketing and go-to-market leadership across B2B SaaS, fintech, data and AI, with experience building and scaling organizations from early-stage companies through to global public businesses.

She spent six years at Shopify, initially building marketing and growth for Shopify Plus as it expanded into enterprise; taking the business from roughly $60M to $1B in revenue during her first four years. Her remit later expanded to leading global marketing for Shopify.

Since Shopify, Abaza has worked as an advisor and fractional CMO to high-growth technology companies, helping founders and CXO’s navigate critical stages of growth and build the teams and go-to-market systems to support them.

### **Wordsmith’s next phase of growth**
